Developing and implementing a cross-border promotion plan: the «Destination Ardenne» project

An European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG) has been set up to promote the Ardennes massif on a cross-border basis, drawing on local tourism opportunities. The EEIG has a dedicated technical team and an overall territorial marketing project and promotes a common cross-border brand, ‘Destination Ardenne’, to which all local tourism and economic players in the cross-border area can subscribe.
The EEIG benefits from financial and development support via European funds and INTERREG projects, such as ‘Ardenne Attractivity’ and the AGRETA project. This initiative strengthens cross-border cooperation to revitalise the region in a more environmentally-friendly way.
