Creating a comprehensive cross-border development strategy : a 2050 Vision for the Greater Geneva

To provide a sustainable and effective response to the climate challenge, the partners of Greater Geneva are working together, and in close consultation with the population, to draw up a Cross-border Territorial Vision. The aim of this unprecedented approach is to imagine and determine the spatial planning of Greater Geneva in the future: a territory that preserves biodiversity and resources, and helps to combat and adapt to global warming.

The Cross-border Territorial Vision 2050, which will be adopted by the end of 2024, will serve as a basis for future planning in France and Switzerland. It will also form the basis for identifying projects, particularly mobility projects, for future generations of ‘agglomeration’ programmes.
